Case Study: Integrated Health Services
Client: Private provider
Vacant 1800m2 of space that was a blank canvas with only one request from the client to make it into a medical centre. We looked at the plans and demographics of the local area to determine viability. HMED worked with the client to develop a business plan and explain the vision. It was determined that a Integrated Health Centre would be a viable proposition for the site.
After long-term discussions and planning, approx..12 months post first client contact the clinic was declared open with a number of services including:
- Medical Centre (10 consult rooms, Procedure room, treatment Room, Steri)
- Dentist (2 Chairs, Steri, OPG and Consult room),
- National Hearing
- Allied Health (Physiotherapy, Psychology, Dietitian, Exercise Physiologist, Hypnotherapist
With planned marketing and sales strategy from HMED Consult, the medical centre has seen an average of 26 patients per day from day one and increasing.
Future Involvement by HMED Consult:
HMED Consult are still involved in the project, even though there is a Practice Manager on-site. We review the quality management system each month, completing audits on-site and then join the senior management team every 3 months to ensure the business plan is being implemented.
We will also be instrumental in ensuring all services within the clinic are accredited to their specific national standards. HMED Consult will implement policy, procedures and protocols to ensure each services meets high standards of patient safety and quality of care.
