The Bay Islands now have an alternate and new ultra modern island medical clinic.
It is called Macleay Island Medical Centre and it has opened its new, modern clinic right next door to the Pharmacy Essentials in the new Macleay Island Medical precinct.
The ultra-professional medical practice has been opened by medical consultancy experts HMED Consult.
In a remarkable time frame, they have launched and opened the new Medical Centre with a high standard medical practice in one of the most modern, ease-of-use facilities in SE Queensland.
The Macleay Island Medical Centre has opened with one doctor, a nurse and receptionist, but soon to be joined by two more doctors in the coming weeks.
Dr Sudhir Marathe has come from the UK and is the start up General Practitioner.
Already the clinic has the latest in modern equipment, which compliments the entire medical centre.
The complex was recently built and opened by Macleay Island Pharmacist, George Economous.
A spokesperson for HMED Consult said that in the coming weeks some impressive new additions and services will be added at the clinic.
“We have two further doctors to start soon. All three doctors will be located on Macleay Island and be part of the island community.”
The Macleay Island Medical Clinic contains an impressive reception area and waiting room, consultations rooms as well as a full treatment room.
A real advantage is that the entire complex is on the one level and is designed for ease of access.
“At a later date, it is our intention to add physiotherapist, dietician and other complimentary services.”
The Macleay Island Medical Centre opened its doors on Tuesday, November 29, and appointments can be made by phoning 3450 3704.
